1. Previous Minutes approval – Motioned by Jenn, second by Ken – Approved
2. Marketing
a. Mike attended CRD Meeting on Dec 8th. Well received. A few members will be in touch. Recommended reaching out to David Corbett. District Principal Career Education - 250-392-1915
b. WL Tribune published article – same as 100 Mile Free Press
c. Jenn did a Public Service Announcement on CaribooNow.com radio – at least 3 times a day
d. Mike asked members / directors for stories of their recovery including lack of medical resources so MLA can take to Victoria
e. Mike met with Jenneke – Regional Manager – After Stroke March of Dimes
f. Mike showed Directors new banner for marketing
3. Mike met Shirley Sponage at MLA’s office – She has plenty of experience and is willing to provide mentorship / guidance.
4. Christmas lunch – new participant will be joining us - Cheryl Wiles
5. Financial
a. Bank Account at CIBC established and deposits/balance of $500 - $350 donation from John via Trivia night and $150 from Mike
b. Year end documents to be prepared – Mike and Jenn to investigate requirement
c. Income tax – Mike and Jenn to investigate requirement
d. Casino funds should still be coming – they required copy of registration of society paperwork
e. Permits for 50/50 draws still to be investigated
f. Order more business cards – Mike
g. Exeter medical clinic provided info on association
6. AGM – March 2024
7. Update on Abilities Committee - we joined 100 Mile House committee
8. Update on Stroke Advocacy of Canada – Federal efforts. Mike member
