1.   Meeting called to order at 11:40 – Motion by Chris, second by Bernie - passed

2.   Approved Previous Minutes from October – Motion by Chris, second by Bernie - passed

3.   Treasure Report / Fund Raising

a.   bank balance currently at $5572

b.   owing – Mike – $3036.13 Ken?  Mileage?  Should association do some pay back or wait until charity receipts possible – will discuss further in 2025

c.   Two more 50 / 50 ticket sale permits – 1231933 and 1231930 – Dates pending – Gov’t taking months not sure why

d.   charity stats still pending – Feb 7 estimated decision date

e.   Mike applied for fund from Tim Horton smile cookies – waiting to here back

f.        Sally got $2K from Seventy Mile Access Centre – Mike to send Thank you card and Magnet 

g.   Mike to talk to Lorne (MLA) about possible operational funding for an office

h.   Shirley Sponagle offered to be treasurer – Motion by Chris, second by Bernie - passed

4.   Speech exercises – becoming popular – doing 6 sessions a week now.  Able to resolve Conrads’s issue – email was wrong; however, he still can’t join – issue with Zoom – Mike to follow up

5.   Advocacy

a.   May be a Rally in Victoria with BC Advocacy group – Mike to see if we can attend with Lorne and possibly introduce a rural funding bill to increase funding for rural support groups like hours.  Mike to chat more with Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Health – MLA Cowichan valley – Debra Toporokski

b.   Jeff from interior health to get back to Mike on possibly getting some contracts similar to Kamloops Brain Injury

6.   Marketing

a.   Website published to both cariboobraininjury.com and cariboobraininjury.org (Redirect)

b.   Calander online

c.   Emails – individual or support@ Treasurer@ - Todiscuss further in 2025

7.   Monique (Williams Lake) – CBIA Approved to have WL Library every Tuesday 2:30 – 3:30 – two time a month for Occupational exercise – two time a month for Social activities – what should we do – Bingo o start – Mike to talk further with Monique

8.   Office space – Bebe?  Mike still to talk to Conrad 250-395-2233 at Green Building – possible space

9.   Liability Insurance – Policy sent to Directors – no feedback received yet – waiting on lawyers – will probably be new year now – Mike to send Shirley policy

10.   Bus – Sally was looking into grant – opportunity to provide bus access for our members and the community in general – possibly will need a nurse on bus – Mike to investigate

11.   Bill C-277 – Shirley updated group – National Strategy on Brain Injuries – was approved and going to senate where it was blocked – Shirley to send Mike details, Mike will distribute to members and directors

12.   Calendar Events approved –  see Calendar on website for details  - Added Bebe 10 exercises and removed a couple walks around Marsh to accommodate – Motion by Chris, second by Bernie - passed
