Meeting Minutes

1.   Meeting called to order at 11:35

2.   Previous Minutes approved

3.   Donations / grant discussion – possible director – we have Thank you cards and Magnets as gifts

a.   Talked to Legion president and vice president - willing to offer space – Mike to ask about weekly meeting space instead of United church and if a donation is possible

b.   Mike to ask Cheryl and Keith (accountant) and Ingrid Myer is they are interested in being a director

4.   Exercises – Vintage Athletics (250-397-2891) - has multiple levels of intensity – good for folks with mobility issues – Mike participating, is a great program

5.   Marketing

a.   Mike sent a letter sent to MLA with Stories – Lorne attending AGM next month

b.   Mike sent a letter sent to MP and the Prime Minister – no response from MP but did get response from PM

c.   Mike met with Bebe – Occupational Therapist – may join Directorship, willing to work in conjunction with us – was unable to attend this month’s meeting

d.   Mike met with Kim Fraser – Community Navigator – 100 Mile – also willing to work in conjunction with us

6.   Financial

a.   Income tax paperwork sent to Accountant

b.   Charity status – Mike to check with accountant

c.   Mike to investigate if the following can do a donation:

                                                               i.      Rotary club

                                                             ii.      Lions club

                                                           iii.      Knights of Columbus

                                                           iv.      Legion

7.   AGM – March 2024 – MLA going to join us – everyone is encouraged to attend as we are voting for Directors

a.   Nominees are:

8.   Find Resources – all directors and members may offer their input into who can help us do events on things like education, motivation, exercise, mental health
