Meeting Minutes

1.   Meeting called to order at 11:34

2.   Approve Previous Minutes from October - Motion by Chris, Second by Ken – all in favour

3.   Treasure Report / Fund Raising

a.   bank balance $3576

b.   $420 donation from John in Kitimat – Hirish Creek Golf and Winter Club – Trivia Night  

c.   Donation - Legion donation – Mike picked up Cheque for $2000 from Ray – need to deposit

d.   Two more 50 / 50 ticket sale permits – 1231933 and 1231930 – Dates to be announced once approved by gov’t.  Can do sales at grocery stores and curling Club in 100 Mile

e.   Bingo – Legion?  Have to buy cards from BC gaming – prizes?  Mike to Talk to Ray, other possible venues is Seniors Center in 100 Mile, Elks in Williams Lake, and Legion in Williams Lake

f.        Raffle – check into offer of quilt – other options

g.   Trivia night – not at this time

h.   charity status still pending – Mike to follow up

i.         Grants – Sally taking lead on Grant application – Sally unavailable – will update at December meeting.  Sally wanting to do grant writing course.  Also sent a request to 70 Mile SMAC

4.   Marketing

a.   Website approved – Motion by Jen, second my Ken – all in favor

                                                               i.      Should update with minutes, mission, value, and resources like ARC site, aphasia cards link

5.   Monique Intro – WL advocate for the Association- discussed in detail – Monique to coordinate efforts starting in January – Mike was able to secure Williams Lake library every Tuesday from 2:30 to 3:30 until March except Feb 11th.  Going to do alternating social events like Bingo with a lunch like Pizza and Physical exercise on alternate weeks to aid in increased movements.  More discussion required

6.   Office space – Chris talked to Conrad at Green Building.  Bebe office space discussions ongoing – Mike to talk to Conrad after decision from owners at Bebe’s location.  Mike also to chat with MLA about possible funding

7.   Liability Insurance – Policy sent to Directors – no feedback received. Mike to chat with Lawyer about any concerns.  Lawyer on vacation for another couple weeks.

8.   Calendar Events approved – added Christmas luncheon on Dec 4th, Ken and Jen will pickup Christmas Craft supplies for Nov 20th

9.   Mike meeting with Jeff from Interior Health about possible contracts like Kamloops Brain Injury provides

10.   Meeting ended at 12:32- Motion by Jen, second by Ken – all in favor
