1.   Meeting called to order at 11:35 am

2.   Approve Previous Minutes from August - Motion by Ken, second by Bebe – all in favor 

3.   Treasure Report / Fund Raising

a.   bank balance $2654

b.   50/50 ticket sales slow – hoping to raise $500 by end of September – possible table at Save on foods – Dave was going to ask the Manager

c.   Donation - Legion donation likely mid September

d.   Bingo – Legion?  Have to buy cards from BC gaming – prizes? 

e.   Raffle – check into offer of quilt – other options include – wine gift basket – gym pass and personal training (Dave), Home hardware or Ace

f.        Trivia night – Can ask Iron Horse or Farrier pub or 108 community Center or Senior Center for room (cheap)

g.   charity stats still pending

h.   Grants – Mike still working on applications and write ups – Will pass on to Sally – feedback on document needed – Carol Paethou (604-851-2670)  (Fraser Valley) & Dave from KBIA – can help with applications

4.   Mission/ Vision

a.   Need to set a date to complete statements with Bebe – Sept 11th at 11:00 at Bebe office in 108 – other dates to follow

b.   Peer Education provider to be added to Missions / Vision discussions

c.   Resource list – like March of Dimes – parking lot

      5.   Marketing

a.   Markets

                                                               i.      100 Mile Market – Until end of Sept

                                                             ii.      108 Mile Market - Until end of Sept

                                                           iii.      Garlic Festival – good showing – lots of contacts – Thank you Bebe for volunteering at the bouncy castles

b.   Dave (Iron Fitness) Articles – 2 articles published – good feedback

c.   Roger wants to offer counselling services – he needs to attend a few in person sessions with directors so we can get to know him better – Peer Education provider to be added to Missions / Vision discussions

6.   Advocacy

a.   Stroke Advocacy Group of Canada – monthly meetings

b.   BC Advocacy – has been months since discussions occurred

7.   Meeting Space in 100 Mile – changing from Church on Wednesdays to Library on Saturdays – unless we want to offer Occupational exercises at library as we do in Williams Lake

8.   Liability Insurance – Policy sent to Directors – no feedback received yet – possibly need Directors insurance  Sally to advise
