1. Meeting called to order at 11:25

a. Treasurers Report 

- unavailable - Shirley excused

b. Grant status 

- Sally - needs meeting with Shirley to finalize some grant submissions

c. Income Tax 

- Shirley unavailable - Nothing file according to CRA Website

d. Event Liability Insurance 

- Mike provided summary - original Directors insurance cancelled and refund expected, directors and event insurance coverage via hub obtained - policy was available for directors

E. Raffle tickets for quilts 

- Mike provided summary - Event License 164429 obtained - able to sell raffle tickets from Aug 8 to Oct 31, 2025 - Tickets at $2 each total of 1000 Tickets permitted - Tickets expected to arrive this week - purchased online from Eventgroove for $259.92 - permit was $10

5. Other Business

1. Group photo for Janelle

2. Fund Raising

• Shirley and Sally working on Donation letters, Mike prepared a spreadsheet for mail merge.  Please provide Mike details of any companies you think may donate

6. Advocacy

• Stories to Mike - Bernie, Ken storied outstanding

• MLA report - Mike to Send report to Sally who will review and provide suggestions on how best to use report to our benefit

7. New Business 

1. Primetime Wrestling 

- Chris - Stuart Brown the CEO will provide up to 500 tickets to start to CBIA. We will receive $10 per ticket we sell, in addition we will receive the proceeds of the 50 / 50 draw if we provide resources to sell the 50/50 tickets.  Chris will check to see if they can be sold prior to the event or at time of the event.

2. Corporate Sponsorship
   - Chris raised issue - discussion agreed that we will see how we do with donation and then based on results approach good donors for annual sponsorship in 2026
   
   

3. Ray Carlson/Legion 

- Chris mentioned that we should reach out to Ray again now that we are a charity - Mike to follow-up
