4. Financial Report - Treasurer - Shirley 

• Financial Statements for current year / monthly - will be distributed by Shirley

• Income Tax status updates - Jan to June - pre-Charity, June to Dec - Post charity - Accountant has access to files, Shirley will ask him about pre-charity submission

• Interac Deposits has been setup and tested - donations can be sent to treasurer@cariboobraininjury.com 

• Reimbursements: 

  • Kelowna conference - Mike

  • Donation gas reimbursement

  • Mike and Shirley to get together before Christmas to finalise.

• Mike gave November and December invoices to Shirley 

• Separate Gaming Account to be setup by Shirley
  
  

5. Grant Report - Shirley 

• We have applied to 100 Mile House and Williams Lake - no word yet

• BC Gaming Grant - need to review and submit in 2026 - lots of details required 

• Need others involved to review prerequisites in 2026
  
  

6. Fund Raising 

   1. Donation letters - 110 donation requests sent out by Mike - about 10 rejected

   2. No other activities planned at this time  

7. Marketing -  to be discussed in 2026

   1. Purchases -Tri fold brochure - folding

      3. Single Brochure

      4. Thank you cards / Fridge Magnets
         
         

8. Advocacy

   1. MLA research report-Sally ( how to proceed - interior Health?) -Sally not in attendance

   2. Shirley discussed Transitional Liaison with Interior Health. Good news  they will be distributing our information out

   3. Mike to meet with MLA this coming Thursday
      
      

9. Other Business - to be discussed in Jan 2026

   1. Membership form - too much detail, needs to be modified. A proposed $10 annual fee. (waived if volunteering twice a year).

   2. Newsletter - Shirley - to be distributed 

   3. ICBC pilot project - Shirley / Mike - more details in 2026

   4. Individual photos for Janelle - please send to Janelle with your stories

   5. Luncheon for Christmas - after board meeting - CBIA to cover $210 toward directors lunches - $30 each

   6. Helmet Decoration Parade with Prizes - 2026, could be an annual event to raise awareness - including ATV (Mark from ATV Club - 604-819-5375), Rodeo, Skating, etc.

   7. New programs - discuss further in 2026

      1. Support programs - peer, caregiver - existing - meeting on Friday at Church - we can combine efforts vs someone to facilitate our own program

      2. Life Skills, Daily Living

      3. Educational - return to work or school

      4. Therapeutic Groups - need professionals

      5. Prevention and Awareness (like helmet day)

      6. Case Management

    1. MSN or Facebook Group for members to chat - not right now - liability issues
       Jenn will set up a group for directors.
