1.       Meeting called to order at 11:32 – Motion by Chris, Second by Bernie - passed

2.       Approve Previous Minutes from January   Motion by Jenn, second by Chris – all in favor

3.       Mike computer replaced – some information lost but most in tact.  Website operational, emails now set to:

4.       Starting Peer Support Groups in Williams Lake at MLA office – on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:00

5.       Library in 100 Mile dates extended – need to do paper work every 3 months

6.       Website has speech page off home page and calendar is updated regularly

7.       Treasure Report / Fund Raising

a.   bank balance $7617.00

b.   Donation by Bebe $40 and Mike $5 winnings for Pokeno in Williams Lake

c.   owing – Mike -$6802.83 – Ken 136.38 – will write Ken cheque when Shirley, Mike, and Jenn meet at Bank – Mike cheque to de discussed after budget approved

d.   Two more 50 / 50 ticket sale permits – 1231933 and 1231930 – 01-Mar to 01-Jul and 02-Jul to 30-Sep, 100 tickets each draw, prizes at 30%, 15% and 5% - Draft of tickets layout changes – add website and Brain logo – Mike to talk to Ticket producer.

e.   Gaming funds report file with BC Gov’t – forgot to do it last year

f.        Raffle – we have a set of pot holders – other options.  Mike to still prepare letter on letterhead for legitimacy for Chris – Other directories to consider possibilities – e.g. Fresh-co, Save-On, camp sites, Gallery

g.   Look at getting credit card for association – that way google website – approx. $30/month and quicken – about $15/month can be paid by association instead of Mike

h.   Charity stats still pending – Mike received call today – need to logion to Account page and answer some more questions – painful process

i.         Mike applied for funding from Tim Horton smile cookies – waiting to hear back

j.         Grants – Sally taking lead on Grant application  

k.   Mike to talk to Lorne (MLA) about possible operational funding for an office 

l.         Mike to prepare 2025 budget for discussion

8.       Speech exercises – 6 times a week – details on website – Mike to look into paid Zoom account so sessions aren’t rushed

9.       Advocacy

a.       Lobby not Rally in Victoria. Coordinating efforts with Jim Sommers.  Lorne helping with efforts. Meeting tentatively set for Apr 28.  Hoping to meet with Josie Osborn – Minister of Health and Shiela Malcomson - Social Development and Poverty Reduction - Mike to still chat more with Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Health – MLA Cowichan valley – Debra Toporokski

b.   Jeff from interior health to get back to Mike on possibly getting some contracts similar to Kamloops Brain Injury.  Tshidi to follow up.   Bebe mention Union issues complex for BC – should be chatting with Kelly Dillon

c.   Mike and Chris meet with Tshidi on Jan 21st to discuss director conflict, office space, aging out policy, training resources, resource list.

10.   Marketing

a.   New business card layout and flyer layout to be approved then will order / make more- Flyer approved – Motion by Bebe, second by Jenn – all in favor – Mike to send layout of Business cards to Directors

b.   Coordinating efforts with Cindy Parent (Logan Parents mother) to have a table at rodeo event.

11.   Office space - Mike still to talk to Conrad 250-395-2233 at Green Building – possible space after chatting with Tshidi.  Mike to talk to Susan Colins CHMA – 250-395-4883, 108 mile – Mike chatted  with Hawk at 250-863-6784 – no space

   Liability Insurance – Policy sent to Directors – no feedback received yet – Mike to discuss with lawyers. Left message Jan 19th - no response – may need to find alternate.  Ken suggested Steve – notary by Hub Insurance – Mike to discuss with Steve

12.   Bus – Sally was looking into grant – opportunity to provide bus access for our members and the community in general – any thought

13.   AGM dates – possible move date/time – moved to May – second Tuesday during regular Directors meeting – Motion by Jenn, second by Bebe – all in favor

14.   Calendar Events approved –  added Wiliams Lake  Starbucks at 1:00 on Feb 25th , Rise and Grind in 100 Mile at 12:00 on Feb 28th. - Motion by Jenn, second by Bebe – all in favor

15.   Bebe motioned to add Sevi to Board – second by Jenn – Name is actually Severino Dubler – Mike to add to Gov’t website after AGM – All change instead of paying for each time.

16.   Consider gift card for Monique in Williams Lake – discussed with Monique and she does not want anything

17.   Meeting ended at 12:55  - Motion by Jenn, second by Chris– all in favor
