Interac Deposits - Email of Treasurer@CaribooBrainInjury.com Miike will set up the email today and Shirley will set up automatic Interac deposits to this email this week.
Grant Report - Sally (unavailable for today's meeting)
Who have we applied to 100 Mile, and Williams Lake but they are awaiting financial statements still - Shirley to send these to Sally who will submit then with Mike
What is planned to be applied for - BC Gaming Grant - requirements
Shirley motion, second by Sue for Mike to apply for a BCeId to be setup for CBIA so grant for gaming can be submitted

Quilt Raffle Draw until Oct 31st - Draw Nov 1
- Discussion of Fund Deposits - procedures for handling ticket sales to be done by Sue - Sue will reconcile ticket sales and Mike will deposit the fund
Donation letters - Mail Merge and list of businesses - no movement to date - Directors reviewed and modified the letter - was approved by the board
Each director is asked to submit 10-15 possible businesses to Mike to send letters to. Each possible submission to include the following please

Director Involvement - Response to Emails, volunteering, decisions to be made by the board and not by individuals on the board, Church vs Library, Deposit made by person not collecting $ from Ticket Sales, Brain Injury Conference in Kelowna
Business Excellence award Nomination but no award - Mike and Sue attended the event.
Newsletter - Quarterly - Due Sept but will wait until November to include information from the Brain Injury Conference that Mike is going to in Kelowna at the end of October
ICBC pilot project - Mike believes this is a great opportunity and will keep board members informed
Caregiver Meetings - In person at St. Timothy Church - Oct 17th Mike to send details to members
Group photo for Janelle - not a group photo but individual photos of people with brain injuries - Mike to send request to members
Tax receipts procedure for donations discussed - Treasurer is the only one who can submit receipts
Parade - Xmas in 2026 - good feedback
Luncheon for Christmas - after board meeting on Dec 9 - $20 per director to be covered by CBIA. No alcohol will be covered - Motion by Sue, second by Shirley - approved.
New business
Helmet Awareness Day - with a Parade with Prizes - 2026, could be an annual event to raise awareness - including ATV (Mark from ATV Club - 604-819-5375), Rodeo, Skating, etc.- discussed and thought it was a good idea - Mike to talk to district and others to see what is involved.
New programs - Shirley to investigate with contacts what other organization are doing and will report back to us by December board meeting
Support programs - peer, caregiver - existing - meeting on Friday at Church - we can combine efforts vs someone to facilitate our own program
Life Skills, Daily Living
Educational - return to work or school
Therapeutic Groups - need professionals
Prevention and Awareness (like helmet day)
