• Shirley will be stepping down in the next couple of months - she is interviewing a potential new treasurer next week.

5. Financial Report - Shirley

• Financial report attached - page 5

• Income Tax status - Mike to talk to Keith (accountant)
  - Jan to June - pre-Charity,

              - June to Dec - Post charity

• Separate Gaming Account status - Held over from January  - Shirley  to set up  she will be going to bank today

• Cheques for office rental - Shirley to prepare cheques for 6 months and then Mike and Shirley to meet and sign.

6. Grants

• Grant report attached -  page 6/7

• Matt will be helping Sally 

• Motions - for Sally to proceed with grant application for the South Cariboo Community Enrichment Foundation (SCCEF) Motion by Sue. Seconded by Bernie. passed

• Sally to research and file information pertaining to the grant. Motion by Chris. Seconded by Mat passed

• 100 Mile District grant still active - lost for 2026

• Williams Lake Grant - lost for 2026

• Helmet awareness grant - ICBC - lost for2026

7. Fund Raising 

• Garage sale opportunity @ 108 Heritage site - It was decided to not to commit to this

• Update - Helmet Awareness day -June 2026 No Grant yet

• Sally and Matt are working on one with the SCCEF. Not enough time for a parade this year. If Grant is received then Sally suggests we give a rebate to the first 100 helmets sold of $15.00 The remainder of Grant to  be used for advertising and overhead. Sally would like letters of support from places that sell helmets.

• Grant suggestions have been given to Sally and Matt which include the ATV Club contact is Mark 604 819-5375. Rodeo, Skating, 

• Mike to get permits  and tickets  for 500, 50/50 tickets from May  1st to the end of August @ $10 each for Markets, garlic festival, Logan parent rodeo, etc…
  
  

8. Marketing

• Purchases -  Mike to get pricing for tri-fold handout and advise executives
  
  

9. Advocacy

• MLA - Mike to continue discussions with Lorne
  
  

10. Other Business 

• Facility - we have moved into the office but still need the contract, keys 

  • Cheques to be made out to Kenneth Smith 

  • Address is 2486 Ridgeview Place
    Blind Bay BC 

• Garlic Festival - we have signed up - Sue will volunteer to do 4 hours

• Markets - start on May 8th - every 2 weeks

• Membership - ongoing efforts 

• Alliance application - application sent in - expected to hear back at the end of February - nothing as of yet. Mike to follow up

• Bernie and Sue to seek out members in the community who might be interested in joining the CBIA board - Sue suggested we have an informal coffee/tea at her home to introduce ourselves and our group. 

• Mike meeting Karen Cooper, Executive Director, Clinical Operations for Thompson Cariboo Rural region on Thursday 

• How to offer these now that facility has been acquired. - Everyone to seek out facilitators

• Life Skills

• Daily Living

• Educational - return to work or school 

• Therapeutic Groups - need professionals

• Prevention and Awareness 

• Case Management
