Shirley - Reached out to ICBC for $5000 grant - waiting for application to be filed on Google Drive
100 Mile District grant still active - assuming dead, Mike has sent a copy of application to the administrator asking about status
Legion $1000 donation replacement cheque has now been deposited.
7.Fund Raising
50/50 draws at markets and at the Garlic Festival, donation request letter in fall 2026
Update - Helmet Awareness day - Mike to take the lead - Mike will meet Donna Barnett and start actively planning - need Grant to be able to host it - including ATV (Mark from ATV Club - 604-819-5375), Rodeo, Skating, etc. - ON GOING
8. Marketing

- Banner and thank you cards arrived - will give cards to Shirley at April directors meeting
- a one page, double sided brochure to be designed - May or June
9. Advocacy
MLA - Mike to continue discussions with Lorne on March 16th- goal is to team up and chat with Interior Health on potential contracts, letter has been sent to President / CEO (Sylvia Weir) in January - no response yet
10. Other Business
Facility - great opportunity to get an office - discussed at board meeting, $500 month includes use of meeting room and all utilities - Motioned by Sue, second by Chris - Passed
Month to month Lease agreement to be signed by Mike. For April 1st 2026
Garlic Festival Aug 22 and 23rd - we will be attending
Markets - Starting May 8th, every 2 weeks - Mike will reach out to members for volunteers to attend
Alliance application - application sent in - expect to hear back end of February - nothing yet - Mike to follow up
Bernie and Sue to seek out members in the community who might be interested in joining the CBIA board - Sue suggested we have an informal coffee/tea at her home to introduce ourselves and our group. Bernie has one potential in discussions.
Shirley to get the newsletter ready for March 2026. All directors to give Shirley content
